Why Portsmouth Property Buyers Trust Us

★★★★★

"Replied to my enquiry within an hour and had a quote ready by the end of the day. The survey itself was incredibly thorough and the report was the clearest I've ever read. Worth every penny."

RB
Southsea, Portsmouth
★★★★★

"The booking process was seamless. They dealt directly with the estate agent, kept me informed throughout, and delivered the report two days earlier than expected. The surveyor called me to explain the key points before I'd even opened the email. Brilliant."

TM
Fareham, Hampshire
★★★★★

"I was nervous about the whole surveying process as a first-time buyer. Sarah took the time to explain everything clearly before the survey and then called me after the report to walk through the findings. Felt genuinely looked after."

Frequently Asked Questions

We aim to carry out surveys within 5–10 working days of booking, depending on availability and the property's location. If you have an urgent deadline — for example, exchange of contracts is imminent — let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate you sooner. Emergency bookings within 48–72 hours are sometimes possible.

You don't need to be present during the survey — we arrange access directly with the estate agent or vendor. However, you're very welcome to attend if you'd like to. Many clients find it helpful to walk through the property with the surveyor and ask questions as they go. Just let us know when you book and we'll accommodate you.

If the survey reveals significant defects, we'll explain clearly what they are, what caused them, and what remedial work is needed. In many cases, our clients use this information to renegotiate the purchase price downwards — saving thousands of pounds. In some cases, the findings may lead you to withdraw from the purchase altogether. Either way, you'll have the full picture to make an informed decision — which is exactly what a good survey should give you.

Absolutely. A pre-sale survey is increasingly popular with Portsmouth sellers who want to identify and address any potential issues before putting their property on the market — avoiding nasty surprises during a buyer's survey that could delay or derail the sale. It also shows buyers that you're transparent about the property's condition, which builds trust and can help speed up the buying process.
